Put Ideogram 4.5 in your workflow.

A short API map for developers. Choose the provider, then use its own schema and authentication.

Your prompt

A cobalt-blue ceramic cup in soft studio light.

Ideogram 4.5
QueuedRunningCompleted

One saved request

Original cobalt-blue ceramic cup generated in the studioImage result
Request flow illustration with an actual studio output. Submit once, then check the same request until the image is ready.

Two jobs, two endpoints

The official API exposes generation at /v2/image/generate/ideogram-4-5 and precise editing at /v2/image/precise-edit/ideogram-4-5. Generation starts with a prompt; precise editing also requires a source image.

On fal, the corresponding model IDs are ideogram/v4.5 and ideogram/v4.5/edit. For the edit model, set edit_precision to high when you need precise editing. Provider field names differ.

Queue work and return later

Submit once and retain the returned request ID. Check that request’s status until it completes, then retrieve the image. A browser refresh or transient network error should check the same job, rather than submit another paid generation.

// Run this on your server. FAL_KEY stays server-side.
const job = await fetch(
  'https://queue.fal.run/ideogram/v4.5',
  {
    method: 'POST',
    headers: {
      Authorization: 'Key ' + process.env.FAL_KEY,
      'Content-Type': 'application/json',
    },
    body: JSON.stringify({
      prompt: 'A cobalt ceramic cup in soft studio light',
      quality: 'low',
      image_size: 'square_hd',
      num_images: 1,
    }),
  }
).then(response => response.json());
// Store job.request_id, job.status_url and job.response_url.
