# How to edit images with Ideogram 4.5

## Workflow

1. Save a clean, untouched source with the composition you want.
2. Describe one change: Change only the cup color to green. Preserve its shape, glaze, handle, shadow, lighting and background.
3. Name the details that should remain; avoid irrelevant constraints.
4. Compare edges, lettering, reflections, composition and shadows at full size. Return to the original if a change is wrong.
5. Download each useful version. Provider-hosted image links can expire.

Generate instead when you need a new scene or subject. Edit when you have an existing image worth preserving.
